アンティーク ヴィクトリア時代 ドーセットボタン 12個シート付

ドーセットボタンとはメタル製のリング状の土台に糸をデザインしながら巻きつけたボタンで、主に17世紀からヴィクトリア自体後期まで（ヴィクトリア時代は1837年から1901頃まで）作られていました。シートに書かれている「Wringer Proof Button」というのは、洗濯物を絞るときに使用するローラー、「Wringer」を通してもボタンが壊れない、という意味です。プラスチック製のボタンが主流になる前は、木製のボタンなどがも使用されていましたが、木製のボタンはこのローラーに通すと割れてしまうので、ドーセットボタンが重宝されたという背景があります。

紙製のシートには経年による汚れやシミ、折れ、皺、着色、変色、破れ箇所などが見られるかもしれませんが、特筆すべき点があればお写真でご覧頂けます。また当時のものに近いと思われるグラシン紙に入った状態で入荷いたしましたので、この封筒も同封いたしますが、お写真でご覧頂けるとおりの変色ややぶれがあります。

ボタン自体には経年による変色、着色、すれ、スクラッチ、こすれ、メタルの土台から出た錆が移った痕など、アンティークとしての劣化は見られる可能性がありますが、こちらも特筆すべき点があればお写真でご覧頂けます。
